Planning for Happy Friday Cava.

Tomorrow it is Friday!
At the end of a very exciting and sunny week, we will celebrate the coming weekend with our very good friend F. Like us she loves bubbles and I am taking the opportunity to plan a nice “Happy Friday Cava dinner”.

I think I will make the menu like this:
(Or I will plan and buy everything and my fantastic husband might do the cooking, he is just the best!)

  •  Moules Marinière with home made toasted bread and to this Juvé Camps Gran
  • Dessert will be citrus and passionfruit salad with vanilla ice-cream, and to this a Frisant de Gel Gewürztraminer from Gramona.

I’m very excited about the Frisant de Gel since I have never tried it before.

So if you are a bit bored at work today you can always take some time to plan your own happy Friday Cava dinner for tomorrow. And if you want to try my favourite Moules Marinières receipt. Here you go. 🙂
(This receipt will also be in the book when it comes out this summer)

Moules Marinières

1 net of mussels ( ½ kilo)
3 large shallots
30 cl white wine
three cloves of garlic
Parsley, to your liking
1 tablespoon of lobster stock

-Wash the mussels in cold water and take out the ones that do not close.
-Chop the shallots and garlic into small pieces.
-Heat a few tablespoons of oil and a knob of butter in a large saucepan and fry the onion and garlic until golden.
-Pour in the wine and the stock and boil up, ad the mussels and cook until they have opened up.

Sprinkle the parsley over the mussels and serve immediately! This recipe is a piece of cake and still so fantastically good.
